As part of this ongoing quest, a fascinating study delves into the potential number of application programming interfaces (API) requirements for creating adaptable embodyedsystems. Drawing inspiration from widely accessible online resources such as wikihow tutorials, the investigation aims at unraveling a comprehensive range of fundamental interactions crucial for successful navigation in our tangible reality.
In a collaborative work spearheaded by Jiefu Ou, Arda Uzunalıoğlu, Benjamin Van Durme, Daniel Khashabi under Johns Hopkins University, the team initiated a "thought experiment" envisioning a scenario where diverse human-penned directives encompassed across the vast expanse of wikihows would serve as a benchmark for determining the extensive spectrum of primordial activities expected of an adequately equipped AI system. Their hypothesis revolved around two primary aspects – firstly, quantifying the exact volume of required 'primitiverooted' APIs ensuring a multifaceted, efficient performance, secondly, scrutinizing the nature of those indispensable building blocks.
